When do tours run?

Tours run whenever people have an interest in learning more about the case. This tour is not the guide's main job, so tours are arranged around the guides main work rota. If you are interested in a tour, please contact the guide to let him know the required date of the tour. As much as possible the guide will get back to you to let you know if they are available that day. If the guide is unavailable, they will try to offer alternative dates to see if any of them are suitable.

How long is the tour?

The tour can be as long as you want. The average tour is about 2.5-3 hours however you are in complete control of the tour. When you are on the tour if you want to stop to grab a coffee or nip in a shop, please just let your tour guide know. They will wait outside until you are ready to continue the tour. Even if you want to stop the tour early and finish it another day, that is completely fine too. The guide will make a note of where you are in the tour, then when you wish to recommence the tour, all you have to do is contact the tour guide again to arrange.

How many people are in a group on the tour?

It depends on how many people are interested on going on the tour. However most tours, there will be an upper limit of 9-10 people. I like to keep group sizes to a minimum so that everyone can hear the information provided.

Where is the meeting point?

I usually like to meet either outside or inside the White Hart pub in Whitechapel, which is located at 89 Whitechapel High St, London E1 7RA. However if you wish to meet somewhere else in London that is more convenient for you, then that can also be arranged.

How can the tour be free when the others are paid?

I personally have a huge interest in the case and enjoy going to Whitechapel whenever I can. I do these walks as a hobby, therefore would feel very uncomfortable charging to take people around. If you have enjoyed yourself then after the tour if you wish to tip your tour guide, please feel welcome to do so but there is no obligation to tip. It's up to you.

Also if you prefer to go on a paid tour instead, then those are fantastic too and the guides are extremely knowledgeable about the case. I have even done a few of them myself and they are also well worth it!!
